One of my new adventures is volunteering as a reserach intern with Monetery Bay Whale Watch where I learn so much about the bay and marine mammals and gather data and take photos of behaviors and for identification. Lunge feeding is a behavior exhibited by humpback whales where they lunge up through corralled fish, gulping thousdans of gallons of water, filtering the fish out in the baleen, letting the water run out then swallowing the fish! It is a sight to behold!
